B2B Merchant Services

Partner

Midwest Payment Processing is partnered with Paymetric to offer a secure payment acceptance environment for our clients. This partnership offers a tremendous opportunity for the Midwest team to help our B2B relationships to grow. Through this relationship with Paymetric we can reach more companies offering the lowest interchange processing rates the industry has to offer.

B2B payments can take all shapes and sizes, but generally fall under one of two rate categories: Level -2 (II) and Level -3 (III) /Large Ticket Interchange Credit Card Processing. Midwest Payment Processing will help your business to  process B2B payments at the lowest processing interchange rates offered in the market. The Virtual Terminal that’s provided to our clients is configured so that it automatically passes the required data to Visa/MC at the point of sale which will qualify your business for a tremendous reduction in cost.

Level -2 (II) Interchange Credit Card Processing

If your business typically deals with Corporate or Government GSA Purchase Cards, P-Cards or Purchasing Cards, you can benefit from lower Visa/MasterCard processing fees. This is called Level-2 (II) payment processing, and if your business is properly categorized by the SIC Code with your processor then you can qualify for these lowered fees.

To qualify for the Level-2 pricing, you must use a certified product issued by Midwest Payment Processing that collects and submits the pricing data to Visa/MasterCard in the proper way listed below.

Proper pricing data to qualify for Level-2 (II) interchange rates:

  • Standard credit card information, including credit card number, expiration date, billing address tied to the credit card, zip code and invoice (purchase order) number.
  • Customer code – although this is no longer required, it’s encouraged that you provide it.
  • Sales tax amount – must be submitted separately from the amount of the transaction.

Certified products that support Level-2 (II) data processing:

  • Midwest Payment Processing Secure Virtual Terminal
  • Point-of-sale terminals

By working with our Level-2 (II) specialists that support a Level-2 (II) approved gateway, merchants will qualify for lower interchange rates.

Level -3 (III) Interchange Credit Card Processing

Capturing Level-3 (III) data requires a more detailed process at the point-of-sale of a credit card transaction, but this process can greatly reduce your costs. To have your transactions qualify for Level-3 (III) pricing you must use a PCI Certified payment terminal, whether a virtual terminal or a point-of-sale terminal, that collects and submits data properly to Visa/MasterCard.

Proper pricing data to qualify for Level-3 (III) interchange rates:

  • Standard credit card information, including credit card number, expiration date, billing address tied to the credit card, zip code and invoice (purchase order) number.
  • Customer code – although this is no longer required, it’s encouraged that you provide it.
  • Sales tax amount – must be submitted separately from the amount of the transaction.
  • Freight shipping amount – if unavailable, enter $0.00.
  • Duty amount – if unavailable, enter $0.00.
  • Line item details
  • Product, item, or service ID
  • Description of item (or service received)
